AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SECURITY BASED ON ADVICE FROM THE POLICE
Entry to the Barn When the Office is manned.
Entry may be gained by going to the front door which is the one by the Office. Press the intercom button this will ring in the Office and let the Office staff know you need to gain entry, the door is then released. You will hear a click push the door and it will open.
Disabled members or hirers will gain access from the back door .Press the intercom, tell the Office who you are in the speaker and they will release the door. Pull the handle towards you and open the door
When the Office is not manned
It is the responsibility of the key holder to use the key for her club or class to gain
entry to the Barn. The key is for the front door there is no lock facility for entry on the
back door.
The key holder can arrange for a member of her class to stand by the back door to let
her class in. When they are in, the back door can be closed.
This will also apply to disabled members and hirers.
When your class has started and the telephone rings, this can be heard in the halls and rooms, it may be a latecomer to your class and the member will require entry.
Points to remember
The telephone on the intercom has the sound of a telephone ring
There is a lock on the inside of the back door this must not be locked if there is a
person in the building.
The back door is a fire door
The back door is the one by the new outside wall in the car park
The front door is the one by the Office :
Key holders must take responsibility for members of their class, hirers, or play group parents when the Office is not manned.
