2. MINUTES OF THE MANAGEMENT MEETING HELD MONDAY 10TH JANUARY 2022
The meeting agreed the Minutes to be a true representation and the Chairman signed the supplied copy.
MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MANAGEMENT MEETING
Property & Management
Quotes for Loft insulation and painting / repair of cracks in Jubilee Hall. Action Julia
Mawdsleys are going to install warning lights in the Kitchen area when the sewage level needs attention.
The cost will be £890 but emergency callouts would soon reach this amount of money. Action Mel

7. FINANCIAL REPORT
Current Financial Situation:
Deposit (interest paid 1st April) £100,142
Current Account £ 33,465
Significant Expenditure - > £500
Apart from salaries, utilities and cleaning, £625 has been spent in trying to better soundproof Heath room (£300 has been promised from the Counsellors towards this cost). Mel to Update monthly
Following the cessation of the Local History Club, they have, in accordance with the rules, transferred to the Barn such monies which they have at the close of their business. They have transferred £1,623.62p into Barn funds.
On the 1st Feb we received a bequest of £1,000 from the late Margaret Kinsey. (Being February this is not included in the current financial figure above)
On 3rd February one of our grant applications “came through” - £2,666 for “Disruption due to Omicron” Closing Note
HSBC (banking charges)
Mel has written to HSBC asking if there is a way we can receive free banking, and explored other avenues, the answer from this Bank and others……. No Closing Note
Soundproofing Heath Room
The Management Committee feel that there is nothing else that they can do to soundproof Heath room.

Mobile Phone Improvement (County Court Claim for £2,000)
Mel believes that this is going nowhere, so avoid repeating the same information month after month, Mel proposes to remove this item from future reports and regard it as a lost cause. Closing Note
At the moment we are not pursuing a Caretaker role until the Barn has returned to normal occupancy.
Mrs Bucket Cleaning Increase
We are going to accept the increase. Agreed Management Committee
Membership will revert to pre -pandemic £10 per year reduced to £5 if paid before 31st August, children £2.50.
Hire of Halls/Rooms.
Club hiring to rise by 5p an hour.
Private hire of Halls/Rooms
Jubilee £25 per hour
Concorde £20 per hour
Grace and Britannia £8 per hour
Page £12 per hour
Charge for exclusive use of Kitchen £25 Agreed by Management Committee

9. FIRE & SAFETY

Andrew has written a Health and Safety Policy Statement which will be available in the Office.
10. WEBSITE UPDATE
We are thinking of trialling a virtual tour of the Barn to use on our webpage. Acton Bruce
Bruce will check the cost of Projectors.
Downend Library will be closed for a month from 14th February, to allow a new toilet to be installed for the public to use. Information Cllr Janet Biggin
Library book reservations made at one library may be transferred to another library for collection.
New Defibrillator Pads to be ordered. Action Christine
