2. MINUTES OF THE MANAGEMENT MEETING HELD MONDAY 7TH MARCH 2022
The meeting agreed the Minutes to be a true representation and the Chairman signed the supplied copy.
3.MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MANAGEMENT MEETING
Property & Management
Our new project manager will be Mr Aaron Mitchell. A.M.BUILDING Action Zoe
Roof inspection with Sage roofing will take place soon. Action Mel
Roof insulation when roofing is found sound, meeting to take place with Aaron Mitchell for a quote for the work 6th April. Action Julia

5. PROPERTY & MANAGEMENT
Attached sheet on notice boards x 2 inside the Barn. Action Zoe
Louise Hooper who is helping to reorganize our Facebook page, came to talk to the Management Committee. Louise with Bruce Gibbs have modernized DFHA, they have brought The Barn to the attention of a wider audience. Action Louise/Bruce
New layout of Membership form. Agreed by Management Committee
There will be no public admittance inside the office while Office staff are working. Action Zoe
We are organizing Food Hygiene courses Action Zoe/Melinda
Mrs Melinda Gunnion is joining the Management Committee. Welcome.

7. FINANCIAL REPORT
Current Financial Situation (End March) :
Deposit £100,142 (interest paid 1st April) -
Current Account £ 37,139
The forecast still looks quite stable for the rest of our year.
Significant Expenditure - > £500
Apart from salaries, utilities and cleaning, there has not been any expenditure greater than £500 this month. Mel to Update monthly
Donation, Mr Khan made a booking but was unable, due to illness, to hold the event. He refused to have a partial refund or his security deposit refunded and donated the £135.50 to the Barn Thank you Mr Khan
Change/Additional Name for DFHA
Further to the e-mail from Mel of 15th March, where HSBC have changed their reply, and now state we definitely can not have two names, what option should we take?
Management Committee have said to continue with DFHA for the Legal name, but within our site and local advertising, we will use Lincombe Barn.

I have also communicated with the charity commission, asking whether a Trustee meeting will be adequate for “a resolution document” to change the name, or whether it needs to be done at an AGM Wtg Charity Commission South Glos. Council Requests
Further to the list of outstanding requests (see last Treasurer’s Report) of SGC, I have received no positive replies.
As of 4th April Mel has started to receive some replies from Alice Wolstenholm. SGC. Full list of replies hopefully next month. Mel to Update
8. SOCIAL & FUND RAISING
Friday 8th April Booking Day for Outings 2.00 – 4.00pm
Tuesday 10th May Salisbury £18, extra £15 on the day entry to the festival of flowers held in the Cathedral.
Wednesday 15th June Sudeley Castle £33
Wednesday 6th July Boat trip with cream tea.
Speaker morning 7th April Roger Mellors from the Botanic Gardens speaking on “Interesting plants and their uses”.
Donation requested towards upkeep of the Gardens.

9. FIRE & SAFETY

10. WEBSITE UPDATE

Two weeks ago D&BHPC heard that the plans have been passed by SGC for the new pavilion in Page Park.
Tony, who operates the ice cream van in Page Park, has paid to have his van converted to electric, with SGC financing the charging post.
The disabled toilet has now been installed in Downend Library, for the public to use.
D&BHPC will be hosting their Parish Annual Assembly, Thursday 21st April ,Badminton Road Methodist Church, at 7.30pm - everyone welcome!
Kingswood Park has been awarded 2million pounds from the Heritage Lottery Fund, which will benefit the park no end.
Kingswood Town Centre will have 30million pounds spent, in upgrading and improving the area.
The CAB - Citizens Advice Bureau, is closing down on the High Street in Staple Hill, as the building is not fit for purpose, the volunteers and staff can be reached at the One Stop Shops, the Bristol Law Centre, along with other CAB centres in Yate and Bristol.
There will be markets along the High Street, Staple Hill, hosted by the traders on April 23rd, May 21 and June 4th, coinciding with markets being held in the Nest/Bean Tree Cafe, Page Park.
Page Park has been given 5 Stars, in the Pride In The Parks Award, which they have achieved previously. A big Thank You to all the volunteers, and staff, who work in the park.
The Royal British Legion, (RBL) are still looking for new premises and have increased their members to over 130, which they are very pleased.
They will be hosting breakfast for veterans, carers, widows and widowers in the Sandringham, Quakers Road, the first Saturday each month, starting in May. It seems that the coach trips they arrange are very popular, so do look to see what they are doing.
