MANAGEMENT MEETING MINUTES

2. MINUTES OF THE MANAGEMENT MEETING HELD MONDAY 15TH MAY 2023
The meeting agreed the Minutes to be a true representation and the Chairman signed the supplied copy.

3. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MANAGEMENT MEETING
Property & Management
Still awaiting a response from the Snooker club as their contribution towards the new baize. Action Zoe/Mel

4. CORRESPONDENCE
None.

5. PROPERTY & MANAGEMENT
The equipment to test our water for Legionnaires’ disease has arrived. Weekly tests will begin shortly. Action Zoe/Martin /Andrew
The Maintenance review in detail x2 is listed on the Notice boards within the Barn. Action Zoe

5. ADMINISTRATION
Nothing to report.

7. FINANCIAL REPORT
Current Financial Situation:
 
Deposit £81,725   
Current Account  £13,862  
Total £95,587 
 
Significant Expenditure - > £500 (since the end of April) 
 
Apart from salaries, utilities and cleaning, the expenditure in excess of £500 was: 
 
£554 – Britannia room plaster and paint, £3,800 - replacement of consumer units and £1,187 -external and fire door painting. 
 
There still is an expenditure, estimated to be £4.5K, for ring main work in the Office and the upstairs rooms. This will allow us to receive our EICS certificate.   Mel to Update monthly

Car Park Incident on 31st May: 
“The incident has been logged with our insurers and we are awaiting a reply before any further action is taken”.  Action: Mel

8. SOCIAL & FUND RAISING
Speaker mornings.
When Speaker mornings restart in September entry will increase to £3 per session. Refreshments in the Coffee lounge from 10.15am.
It has been suggested that a Lunch time fundraiser could be moved to follow on from the October speaker morning. Action S&FR committee

11. AOB

D&BHPC now only has three vacancies, having co-opted two people at our meeting
in May. Any enquiries, please contact Angela Hocking, Parish Clerk, 0117 9567001.
Fairtrade Producer. Erika Lanza Rodas, was here in the UK from Nicaragua, speaking
through interpreters to a PowerPoint presentation about her life as a farmer growing
coffee. She visited various schools and colleges, explaining the difference belonging
to the Soppexcca Co-operative in Jinotega, Nicaragua. She stayed with Janet Biggin
overnight, 25th May, in readiness to visit Christ Church Juniors, then Frenchay
Primary School on Friday 26th May. There were no producers here during Lockdown
so it was lovely to host another producer this year. She was in the UK from 11th -
27th May, going to Bristol and Bath schools and colleges. Information Cllr Janet Biggin
