The Downend Folk House is a registered Charity which is run by a Management Committee with the help of volunteers. A wide range of activities are on offer at our premises and they are listed in the prospectus under the day of the week that they take place. Some groups are run by members as clubs and the annual or term fees are shown. All those joining these groups are asked to enrol yearly as members of the Association. Other groups are run by private hirers and are marked "private provision" and a contact number is given for you to make enquiries direct. Our attractive rooms are available for hire for parties, meetings, workshops etc.

HOW TO ENROL IN OUR CLUBS

The Barn membership fee this year will be £10. However a discount of £5 will be applied if members enrol for 2019/20 before the 31st August 2019. The discount will also apply to those whose postal applications are received by 31st August 2019.

Your club leader can enrol you and take the payment for your class when the new Prospectus has been printed. The payment can be a cheque dated the 31st August or cash. This payment will be secured in the Office by the Administrator and the new membership cards will be given to your leader when your class starts.

No reductions are made for missed clubs although clubs cancelled on account of adverse weather will be re-arranged whenever possible. In other cases refunds will only be given in cases of serious ill-health, confirmed by medical evidence. Please note that some club fees are paid each term, with members required to pay separately for each term at the stated fee.

Registration arrangements for spring and summer activities will be posted on main notice boards and printed in the 'Barn News'.

Please note that we always try to consider the needs of people with mobility problems.
