Monthly Update
4. Matters arising from the Management Meeting of 6thJuly 2026
It was agreed that any other matters arising were all going to be covered in the body of the meeting

Resignations from Office Staff; Jane Faithfull and Martin Bailey
6. PROPERTY & MANAGEMENT
The Maintenance Review document was issued to the attendees and discussed. Copies are available on the noticeboards. This review document identifies all the outstanding actions needed. However, the following are highlighted for inclusion in these minutes.
- Retest of boiler to include meter safety check. Action Zoe
- Virgin Media has been installed by the Kindergarten but still a work in progress
- Washer Dryer filter to be checked by Maintenance
- Maintenance of the wall screen partition to be revisited after October
7. Fire & Safety
Fire Exit opposite Maintenance, quote received £1500 - awaiting trade availability.
Fire Exit by Maintenance, external exit light to be retested by electrician
War Games have offered to do Barn light tests in the building. Training with Andrew to be arranged.

8. Administration
Extreme weather policy to be discussed at a later date.
Look to purchase some fans / portable AC units in the future for office
Staff leave period - office may not be manned continuously.
Copes of Barn News and Prospectus are available in buildings and on website.
9. Financial Report
Current Financial Situation as of 31/8/26: (summarized from Mel’s sheet supplied)
Deposit £41,302
Current Account £30,353
Total £71,655
With no significant expenditure in June, July and August we now have £4,981 more in reserve than at the beginning of our year, September 1st, 2025. We also have some cash waiting to be paid into the bank, just over £1,000. For the first time since the Pandemic, DFHA has shown a profit at the end of the year.
Significant Expenditure > £250 (during July and August)
Apart from administration (monthly average £4,000) utilities (average £1,000) and cleaning (monthly average £2,345) there was no expenditure over £250 or more.
Awaiting response from National Lottery Grant Application for roof work
